Gemini Junction is JT Moring, Annie Rettic, Richie Strell, Rocky Smolin, and Travis Oliver, performing in various combinations. We have a good old time playing a mix of acoustic American roots music. Lots of fiddle, harmonica, guitar, banjo, mandolin, and upright bass, with side helpings of kazoo, spoons, mountain dulcimer, and what-have-you. We play original music, and bring old songs into the new millennium, sometimes kicking and screaming.

JT and Annie have been performing together since 2007. Richie brought his harps on board in 2014, and motivated the Gemini Junction name. We produced our namesake album, including original songs by all three, with a little help from our friends, in 2016, and met Rocky on stage shortly thereafter.

We've played all over San Diego, including Adams Avenue Unplugged, the Spring Harp Fest, Sam Hinton Festival, Train Song Festival, Sea Chantey Festival, tributes to Woody Guthrie and Pete Seeger, and tons of street fairs, farmers markets, bars, restaurants and private parties. Welcome Travis Oliver!

With Annie taking care of business back East this summer, we're honored to have Travis Oliver bringing us back up to quartet-strength. Travis has fiery flatpicking chops, heaps of Appalachian soul, and a bunch of fun new songs for us to play. The music is a great fit with Rocky's bass and Richie's harp, and allows JT to shift over full time to banjo and mandolin.

Check out what Travis has to say in the San Diego Troubadour magazine.

And here's little bit of Hank Williams:
